A quick exercise for general painting. Had this skeleton model from McDonald’s when A Minecraft Movie was released. I think I have everything there except for the boring cubes and the evoker.
Compared to the creeper, the skeleton provided more shapes to work with. Did some very crude edge highlighting to see how it holds up. Good, but can be better. As with the creeper, didn’t bother with the seamlines / moldlines.
Build highlights

- Nothing, really. I didn’t build this piece.
- Hardest part to paint was the initial gloss black primer.
- Edge highlighting was fun, but requires a good brush and patience. Both of which I didn’t really have at the time. Detailing work only took 10 minutes.
- The choice of going for a brown-yellow look worked out here — I could have painted it bone white but that would’ve felt a bit boring.
- Baseplate repainted with gloss black again.
