A quick exercise for airbrushing. Had this creeper model from McDonald’s when A Minecraft Movie was released. I think I have everything there except for the boring cubes and the evoker.
The creeper, I thought, was the easiest thing to repaint here since its texture can easily catch highlights if you simply airbrush at an angle. I thought pretty much right.
Did a quick putty pass around the head since the mold lines were too visible, but didn’t bother with the frontal seamline. Primed with gloss black, lightly painted a green midtone, and a light green-yellow highlight. Proceeded to hand-brush the black mouth and eyes, and add a little bit of edge highlighting on the face and legs.
Build highlights

- Nothing, really. I didn’t build this piece.
- Hardest part to paint was the initial gloss black primer. Since the plastic was really bright green, paint had a hard time to stick. Patience was key here.
