Large language models (or LLMs), at the time of writing (Jan 2026) are the predominant form of AI in the current market. If you’d like the exact technical prose on it, there should be a Wikipedia link above. Personally, it’s easiest to think of them as a “fancier” next-word-prediction model (akin to the prediction model typically found in your phone’s keyboard).
